I had an amazing time on Access Hollywood. Contestant Avarita appeared with me and we had to compete in a pasta "throwdown!" I was partnered up with Kit and we won! It was a hit and my dish, Safron Shrimp Orzo Salad made a great impression. I thank God for His favor and love towards me! Blessings to you! Verdegirl

My Momma Throws Down, featuring Liza B...Lou, Alexis, Tarsha and Shon!

Welcome back VerdeGirl! It is soooo good to be back here with you guys.  Just wanted to thank all of you who support me and wanted to share a little bout what has been happening in my life. I had the amazing opportunity to appear on TV ONE's new series, My Momma Throws Down! I was a contestant on the show which my daughter Alexis "mominated" me for. She seems to think I am a great cook:)  I appeared in May and it was a hit! I really did throw down and won! I was also given the opportunity to appear as a representative of the show on Access Hollywood Live. Funny thing is I had not idea the show did not air in Atlanta.  It was great! I got to cook on the show and yes, compete again. I made a delicious Orzo Salad and it was a hit! I will attach  recipe for you to create your own version of it.
I also went to Delaware where I put my cooking skills to the test again and cooked my signature dish of Oxtails and Coconut Rice and Peas for my brother, Doug! It was so wonderful cooking for people who truly love me both body & soul. I will be posting all of my cooking adventures from hear on in. I will also be adding some of my adventures as I embark upon another year of homeschooling my two little ones. Wish me luck and keep a watch out for my famous Coconut Shortbread Cookies.
